Does AI recommend your practice?
More patients now ask ChatGPT, Google's AI answers or another assistant to suggest a dentist nearby. The assistant names a few practices and moves on. AI recommendation tracking shows you, every month, whether yours is one of them.
What we check
We write down the questions a patient in your area would really ask: "which dentists in Shrewsbury are taking new NHS patients?", "who does dental implants near Telford?", "emergency dentist open on Saturday in Ludlow". Each month we ask them, and record three things for every answer:
- Whether your practice is named, and where in the answer.
- Who is named instead: the practices and directories that keep coming up.
- Which websites the answer draws on, and whether yours is one of them.
We record what the answer says, not what we'd like it to say: if your practice isn't named, the report says so, with the most likely reason.
Why practices get left out
AI assistants that search the web lean on the same pages that rank well in ordinary search, and Google says its own AI answers use its normal search index. So the reasons a practice is missing are usually familiar ones: no page about the treatment being asked about, thin or out-of-date details, few recent reviews, or directories and the NHS website covering the question better than the practice's own site does.
That's why the fixes are mostly ordinary local SEO done well: a clear page for each treatment, accurate details everywhere you're listed, a steady flow of genuine reviews, and plain answers to the questions patients ask. Local SEO for dental practices explains how we do that work.
What it costs
AI recommendation tracking on its own is £49 a month, rolling monthly with 30 days' notice. It's included in Local SEO at no extra cost. Prices exclude VAT.
Not ready for either? The free website review includes a one-off check of whether AI assistants name your practice today.
Questions practices ask
Can you make ChatGPT recommend my practice?
No one can switch that on. Assistants decide from what they find, so we work on what they find: your website, your listings and your reviews. Then we measure whether it changed the answers.
Will the answers be the same next month?
Not always. AI answers vary from one day to the next, which is why we ask the same questions every month and look at the trend rather than a single answer.
Is this only for dental practices?
No. The same check works for outdoor activity providers and other local businesses. The questions are written for your customers and your area.
